Villa lose for the 16th time in 26 Premier League games.
Villa suffer their heaviest defeat at Villa Park since losing 1-7 to Arsenal in December 1935
This was only the second time Villa had conceded 6 at home since October 1983 (against Arsenal again in a 2-6 defeat).
Villa have now 8 in 18 games under Rémi Garde and 17 in 32 this season.
Mark Bunn concedes his 10th goal in a Villa shirt on his 8th appearance to make it W3 D3 L2, 13 Goals Conceded, 3 Clean Sheets and 2 Bookings so far in his Villa career.
Jores Okore loses for the 20th time in a Villa shirt on his 44th appearance (40 Starts) to make it W13 D11 L20, 1 Goal and 7 Bookings. Okore would later be accused of match fixing at Aalborg Boldspilklub.
Micah Richards loses for the 15th time in a Villa shirt on just his 23rd appearance to make it W4 D4 L15, 2 Goals, 1 Assist and 3 Bookings so far in his Villa career. Richards' wins had come against newly promoted Bournemouth and lower League clubs Birmingham and Wycombe and fellow relegation candidates Norwich.
Idrissa Gueye makes his 25th start in a Villa shirt (26 Appearances) to make it W4 D8 L14, 1 Goal and 4 Bookings so far in his Villa career.
Joleon Lescott loses for the eleventh time in eighteen league games in a Villa shirt on his 19th appearance for the club to make it W3 D5 L11, 1 Goal and 1 Booking so far in his Villa career but finds time to tweet about his new car.

What they Said
“As a manager that is probably the worst performance I have had. It is a very bad afternoon, a very bad defeat but we don’t have time to complain and moan. We have to be professional until the end. I will find 11 players for the next game who want to fight.”
Rémi Garde, Sunday, 14 February 2016.
“I’m not one for tweeting after games whether it’s good, bad or indifferent but I would like to apologise for the performance today, personally and collectively. Liverpool are and were better than us today but that doesn’t excuse mine and the team’s lack of commitment for the 90 minutes.
“Again, apologies to all the fans.
“I would like to add that the tweet sent out from my account involving a picture of a car was totally accidental, it happened whilst driving and my phone was in my pocket.”
Joleon Lescott.
Six different goalscorers helped Liverpool to a rampant 6-0 win at bottom side Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Returning striker Daniel Sturridge, who netted twice against Villa in the September fixture at Anfield, nodded home the opener in the 16th minute, before James Milner doubled their lead as his cross from a free-kick found the bottom corner.
Emre Can made it 3-0 just before the hour mark with a fine 20-yard effort, Divock Origi then slotted home a fourth having run through on goal, and Nathaniel Clyne hit Liverpool’s fifth from close range as the visitors scored three goals in seven minutes.
Kolo Toure hit Liverpool’s sixth and final goal from a corner, and the result leaves Liverpool in eighth, two points off the top six, while Villa stay bottom, eight points from safety with 12 games remaining.
Villa were unchanged from the side that beat Norwich 2-0 last weekend, while Liverpool striker Sturridge was starting his first Premier League game since October 4, returning alongside Philippe Coutinho and Toure.
And it was Coutinho who fed former Villa youth player Sturridge for the opener on 16 minutes, curling in a superb cross from the left for the England striker, who had got between Villa centre-halves Jores Okore and Joleon Lescott to glance a header into the bottom corner.
Liverpool doubled their lead nine minutes later as Milner, another former Villa man, saw his free-kick from the left go through the crowd in the penalty area and into the bottom corner.
It should have been three moments later as Roberto Firmino found Milner at the far post to head down to Jordan Henderson, but the Liverpool captain’s effort from close range deflected inches wide of the left-hand post.
Villa goalkeeper Mark Bunn then kept the score down before half-time, producing a wonderful save from Sturridge’s fierce effort after the ball had fallen to him 12 yards out.
Liverpool ran riot in the second half, starting with Can’s long-range effort into the bottom left corner after some sloppy defending from Leandro Bacuna allowed him time to shoot.
Five minutes later, Origi netted his second Premier League goal having burst between Villa’s centre-halves to latch onto Coutinho’s through ball, finishing past Bunn from just inside the area as the hosts crumbled.
It was five two minutes later, Clyne scoring his first Premier League goal since November 2014 on the second attempt in front of an open goal after seeing his first close-range effort saved by Bunn.
Henderson’s corner was then headed into the top left corner by an unmarked Toure for Liverpool’s sixth, making it four goals in 13 minutes, and marking their biggest win under Jurgen Klopp.
Villa did hit the post late on through Scott Sinclair’s effort from the edge of the area, but the performance poses more worrying questions as time runs out on their ever-present Premier League tenure.
