Villa concede for the first time in three games having looked on course for another victory but a poor refereeing performance from E. T. Meaden removes the chance of victory.
Villa lose for the 7th time in 7 against Spurs at Villa Park as outrageous misfortune plagues the home side.
Two nil ahead after 30' it could easily have been 5-0 but by half time it was all square as Spurs grabbed a contentious equaliser haivng fouled 'keeper Sims with the ball in hand.
From there everything that could go wrong did.
Villa lose for the second time in eight games to make it three wins, three draws and two defeats in Division One so far this season.
