On This Day
Villa play Albion home and away on consecutive days and their third game in four days as their already injury hit squad is tested to its absolute limits.
Once again it is an even first half, but despite once again losing Ken Roberts' effectiveness to injury in the second 45', it is Villa who dominate with incessant attacking and the resultant draw is the very least they deserve.
Davy Walsh scores for the third time in four.
Villa make it eleven wins, twelve draws and fourteen defeats in thirty seven division one games so far in 1952-53 and climb one to joint 14th.
