Appalling from the second week to the last, ripped the heart out of the team, replaced it with utter dross, and was allowed countless stays of execution by a benevolent - and compromised - chief executive. Lost the dressing room quickly, the fans soon after - but allowed to wreak havoc until the owners stepped in and acted. Sacked, allegedly a decision made at half time in the game at Craven Cottage that saw the soon to be former manager make an act of avoidance that would have been funny if it was not so cowardly.
