In the following season George scored 2 goals in the victorious 1894-95 FA Cup run as well as being an ever present including the final hosted at Crystal Palace, London where a crowd of 42,562 saw Villa vanquish West Bromwich Albion once again.
George’s final game for Villa came on 24th April 1895 at the age of 25 after which George returned to his native Scotland to play for Glasgow United.
George played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
George passed away in Glasgow in 1930 aged 61.
