RON ATKINSON showed his relief after a second half Aston Villa blitz finally kept his team's championship challenge alive against Sheffield United at Villa Park last night.
He said: "I knew at half-time we had to get our act together or it would be one of those games.
"But we were very exciting in the second half. We ripped them apart and it could have finished six, seven or eight.”
Paul McGrath's goal finally gave Villa the lead after Sheffield United had edged the first-half and Atkinson said:
"McGrath could have had a hat-trick in the end but their goalkeeper Alan Kelly was outstanding.”
