โI was very disappointed with Barcelona, they have quality players and donโt need to play like they did.
โIt was only my playersโ restraint which prevented it getting even worse.
โI donโt feel we intimidated them at all and there is no reason why we should fear sanctions from UEFA.
โPeople are continually knocking British football but Iโm sure no one wants to see us play the way Barcelona did tonight.
โWhen we looked at it before the game it seemed worth competing in because it is another European tournament, another medal.
โNow my feelings are bitter sweet.
โWe will be without Allan Evans in Europe next time and we could have lost a few more players [through injury] for Saturdayโs FA Cup tie against Wolves.
โI only saw bits and pieces of the Spurs game last year [Cup Winners Cup semi final with Barcelona for which they were heavily fined] but I canโt believe it could have been worse than this.
โPeople keep going on about whatโs wrong with British football and saying that we are inferior to the continentals.
โBut if thatโs the way they want to see us play every Saturday, then I donโt want any part of it.
โI thought there might be some trouble because Barcelona have a reputation for violence away from home and they were coming here to defend a one goal lead.
โBut I never expected anything like this.
โI donโt know why they do it.โ
