Villa prove incredibly unlucky to concede an equaliser to a team they had dominated throughout. The fact that the free kick that led to the goal was allowed to be taken before the whistle and before Villa players could take their positions was even more galling.
Lesser clubs however need to take their chances, however questionable, when they occur, and that is exactly what the visiting Derby side did.
Trevor Ford and Les Smith make it one goal and two assists in the first two games of the season.
