Miller was born in Newent, Gloucester on 21 September 1926 and made his debut appearance for Villa on Saturday, 11 December 1948 at the age of 22.
Villa had signed Miller from Hereford United as an outside in September 1948 it would be as a centre forward that he shone for Villa described as โan enthusiastic member of the side who put everything into each 90 minutes he played.โ
But despite being a regular feature of the first team in 1949-50 and 1950-51 he was forced to retire prematurely due to a heart problem.
Miller played his final game for Villa on Saturday, 23 December 1950 aged just 24 having played under managers Alex Massie and George Martin.
Miller passed away in Ledbury on 21 May 1960 aged just 33.
