Darius Vassell scores a first-half hat-trick despite missing a penalty on 36 minutes as Villa go in 4-0 ahead, having seen Gavin Melaugh open the scoring after 90 seconds. Villa missed another penalty in the second half - this time from David Curtolo - but by this time were 5-0 up thanks to Gareth Barryโs header, before Michael Blackwood and Gareth Barry took the score to 7-0. With six minutes left, Hereford scored a consolation, only for Alex Meredith to score within 30 seconds to record Villaโs eighth and final goal of the game.
