Secretary Manager George Ramsay's Villa face Wolves in the replay over a month after the first tie was played and once again an additional half hour is needed to try and separate the sides to no avail.
Albert Brown scores his eighth goal in four games but Villa are held once again by Wolves in the FA Cup ahead of a second replay - once again at Dudley Road.
Both captains ahead of kick off are adamant the game should not proceed due to the frozen conditions however the officials insisted the game was played.
Huge controversy followed however as the Football Association subsequently deemed the match to have "not been an FA Cup tie" and ordered the tie to be replayed (it was going to be anyway) but to be replayed at Wolverhampton.
Unsurprisingly there were huge ramifications and recriminations but Villa duly attended with a full strength side only to be held once again.
