George was born in Huthwaite in July 1884 and made his debut for the club at the age of 23 on the 30th November 1907.
Villa had signed George from Barnsley for a fee of ยฃ1,200 in November 1907.
Over his 2 seasons George made 36 appearances for Villa helping Villa to a second and a seventh place finish in the First Division.
George played his final game for Villa on 27th March 1909 aged 24 after which he moved on to Bradford Park Avenue.
George played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
George passed away in Yorkshire in September 1954 aged 70.
