Villa had signed Fred from Halesowen Town and he had his strongest season for the club in his first campaign playing 6 times and scoring twice.
Fred played his final game for Villa on 31 January 1927 aged 24 before moving on before moving to West Ham United 18 months later, in July 1928.
Fred had played under the George Ramsay and Billy Smith led Management Committees.
Fred passed away in 1980 aged 78.
