Alec Logan

Alec represented Villa between 1906-07 and 1908-09.
Alec was born in Barrhead, Renfrewshire, Scotland in 1882 and made his debut for the club as a 25 year old on the 23rd March 1907
Villa had signed Alec from Falkirk and in total he made 25 appearances helping Villa to 5th, 2nd & 7th and place finishes.
Alec was the older brother of Villa favourite Jock Logan and joined the club after impressing for Falkirk.
He stayed with Villa for 2 seasons before returning north of the border to play for Falkirk once again in July 1909.
Alec made his final appearance for Villa at the age of 29 on 13th February 1909.
Alec had played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
Alec was tragically killed in action in WW1 on 10 October 1918 at the Second Battle of Cambrai while serving with the 2nd Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
Alec was just 38.
