Villaโs bizarre bogey side - potless โBoro - do it again in a remarkable game as Ron Saundersโ leaders lose out to the odd goal in three in the final seven minutes and cede top spot to the Liverpool side who had lucked in with their own late goal a week previously. If one man wasnโt panicking however it was Saunders.
Ron Saunders' Villa, without a win in four - and in their worst run of the season to date - make it twelve wins, five draws and four defeats in twenty one League matches this season. As a result Villa fall back to joint first place in the Division One table, level with Liverpool.
