What they Said

"I am not going to pick out any individual because it was a great all-round performance.

“You name him, and he played well.

"There was a lot to be satisfied about.

“It proves we have accomplished one more thing in our development and that all the hard work we have been doing has been worthwhile.

"We had a very young side out there today some might say too young.

“But we have a first-team squad of about only 13 players and concentrating as we do on our youth policy, it means that we don't always have the experience to fall back on when something goes wrong.

"We almost ruined poor John Deehan last season by playing him for such a long spell. But we are learning."

Ron Saunders.
