His closest rival, Martin O'Neill, lags way behind on 1.45.

Whilst an even more honourable mention goes to Dean Smith who scored more goals per game than anyone bar Emery and MON despite being the only manager in the list bringing the club out of the second tier.

Spread of Goals per Game Scored, All Competitions vs. Premier League

Unai Emery and John Gregory are the managers with the closest correlation between their Premier League goalscoring form and their overall competition goalscoring form.

Given both these managers have had more than their fair share of European competition entries to deal with, that's truly impressive.

Albeit at a lower goalscoring level, Brian Little brought some consistency across competitions, whilst Martin O'Neill did so without ever getting close to Unai Emery's heights.

Interestingly, both Steven Gerrard and Rémi Garde prove their ability to have been universally shit whilst Lambert, Houllier, O'Leary, Sherwood and Taylor were clearly propped up by the Cups especially given they no Euro comp to tackle.

Dean Smith, as the only cross-tier manager, comes out worst, but then he can be excused for struggling to maintain consistency in the step up from the Championship to the Premier League.
