Villa Away to Spurs in the FA Cup

To the likely shock of no-one, Villa are drawn away to Premier League opposition in the third round of the 2025-26 FA Cup. The draw, and luck of it, has such a huge bearing on the ultimate destination of the Cup. The trend for Manchester City to consistently draw lower league opposition aside, however, Villa's recent history of draws seems to follow a fairly expected trend: 17 of 34 Away 20 of 34 Lower League Opponents 5 of 13 Away vs. Same League Opponent 1 Away vs. Higher League Opponent And at least we've avoided the inevitable for the fourth consecutive season.
