Craig Pawson, predictably dreadful. A total dereliction of duty once again from the Sheffield moron. Spurs, predictably dreadful, self pitying, violent, whinge bags, and that's just their fans. Villa, predictably sublime, rising above in total and utter control.

Full-Time Comment
A disgraceful performance from Craig Pawson once again mars a game in which Villa were in complete ascendancy, only for the match officials to seemingly encourage the home side's wanton aggression.
Only in the last minutes did Pawson begin to sanction but by that time João Palhinha had committed at least six yellow card offences including ending Boubacar Kamara's game and sparking a mass brawl.
Pathetic officiating. As for Villa, well we have a lazy 25 minutes in every game we play, today's came just after half-time. Cut that habit out and we will be a force like no other. As it was as soon as the spell ended we could literally have broken records such was our dominance to the final whistle.

"It is an objective, but only one team wins the competition. One team. We are not a contender, and there are more teams contenders than us.
"This is a way for a trophy, and in Aston Villa’s history, there are seven FA Cup trophies. Last season, we enjoyed the semi-final at Wembley with our supporters. We respect the competition and played focused on the match like we have been."

Tool(s) of the Day
As usual, playing in North London, you could choose from any one of 100,000s, but the award this week must go to Thomas Frank.
Run incredibly close by the mind-numbingly thuggish João Palhinha - you must be doing something wrong when the World of football unites in condemnation - and Craig Pawson for his sheer, unadulterated incompetence.
Yet Frank wins it for this pearler, that truly should see the man chased out of the game, literally and metaphorically:
"Losing a tight game, season not going perfectly and Ollie is very provoking.
"He can easily just walk around. Everyone who has been in a competitive nature, that can trigger things.”
Scenes
What they said
"The first 45 minutes, we controlled the game like we planned. We created chances, we scored two goals, we dominated, and we defended very well. The second half, Spurs started pushing more, they scored a goal. Progressively in the second half, we were feeling better on the field. Again, good positioning and dominating with the ball. Not creating big chances but getting the control of the game like we planned and how we did in the first half.
"Of course, in 90 minutes overall, I think we deserved to get this win, and of course, how the players responded on the field showed the mentality we're building is really fantastic.
"Fantastic. Both players fantastic, and today played 90 minutes. Of course, the qualities and the skills of Buendia are really helping us a lot. And today, playing 90 minutes, with his versatile position, playing in a left side and inside as a 10, we did both during the match. In each position, he's performing very well and his commitment to help, get his task done and focus, overall, is really fantastic.
"Especially today, the performance of Morgan [Rogers] and Buendia was really fantastic, and each one can feel comfortable playing with their qualities."
"Yes, we need players. We're in the Premier League, the Europa League, and this competition we are respecting a lot. Because last year we played the semi-final. There are thousands of supporters here with us, giving us responsibility. The FA Cup is a way for a trophy, a way for Europe as well. Secondly, how we are managing the squad, different players, different moments, some players injured, some players coming back from injury like Pau Torres, and we need players for the next matches, the next competition, Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup."
Unai Emery, post-match.
"Fantastic. He's versatile, on the left or as a number 10. He dominates his position behind the striker. He's a competitive player, and he's always showing his commitment to this club. How he plays with enthusiasm is fantastic, and he has quality."
Unai Emery on Emiliano Buendia.
"We knew it was a difficult game for the third round of the cup. To come here away is difficult; they're a top team, they're struggling a little bit at the moment, but we know the quality that they have.
"We had a really good first half. We pushed a lot, we had clear chances, we were 2-0 up at half-time. In the second half, we dropped the intensity a little bit; they had chances because they have the quality. But we kept fighting, and I think we deserved the win.
"I have no idea. The first thing I did at the final whistle was go to the floor because it was a high-intensity game, so I was quite tired after a lot of running. I don't know what happened, but I think it's football, so I think it stays on the pitch and we move on.
"With the structure we have, it's good for Morgan and me to play together. We try to find pockets behind the midfielders. We enjoyed the first half; we created chances, and I think the second goal was clear as well. It was a good game.
"We go game by game. Today was the first FA Cup round for us. We need to stay focused in each competition, fight for everything and keep looking forward. We have a week to rest and then face Everton at home, it's going to be a really tough game"
Emiliano Buendía.
"We wanted to build on the first half. We were good in the first half. Second half, Spurs came out really well. They're a good team, they're at home.
"They played really well second half, we had to dig deep, we had to work and defend our box. We did well, and I think we deserved the win in the end.
"It was good build-up play, then Emi just flicked it to me, and I wanted to get the shot off as soon as I could. Luckily, it went in, and I was really happy.
"I'm loving it. I'm feeling good, I'm in a good bit of form, I'm feeling positive and confident, but so are the team, and that's the most important thing. As a team and as a collective, we're playing really well at the moment.
"We were bitterly disappointed that we couldn't go the whole way last year, having got so far. We've set out to try and do as well as we can.
"This was a big test for us in the third round, and I thought we overcame it really well.”
Morgan Rogers.
“When you analyse us, you probably think you know what we’re going to do, but we’re quite versatile.
“We have our principles, we know where everyone is, but his (Emery’s) detail is outstanding & as you can see over the last few years, it’s paid dividends."
John McGinn.
Last Word
"I don't have an update. Tomorrow, we check him, and hopefully it's not something important."
Unai Emery on Boubacar’s injury.
