Louie Barry escapes purgatory in Sheffield

Now I'll admit it upfront. I don't like Sheffield United, the area, the ground, "UTB", their style of play, the arrogance of a lot of their supporters and a general air of unpleasantness associated with the club.

So, as a result, when Louie Barry agreed a loan move there this season, I held my nose.

And wouldn't you know, it played out as predicted.

A complete waste of six months in a career that has already been interrupted far too often, nine games, pretty much every one a defeat, no goals, no assists, in fact nothing to show for it but a nasty injury that's put Barry's development on time-lapse again.

At least he's out of there.

I just hope Villa make a more appropriate decision on his next destination.
