JJ Leaves a big hole

Jacob Ramsey, JJ, affectionately known as 'Baby' leaves Villa and a huge hole in the dressing room. Transfers are part and parcel of the game; even homegrown, die-hard fans leave their clubs. But Ramsey's departure is something else entirely.

A move entirely concocted due to the iniquities of PSR, a move that the club, the manager, the team, and the player did not want.

A move forced on an ambitious, upwardly mobile club by the Premier League in their quest to 'protect the six'.

All the signs are that a huge cloud has formed over Villa Park on the eve of a season of previous optimism.

What that means now for 2025-26 is anyone's guess. If Unai is gutted, we all are.
