The First Team beaten by Brentford, the u18s beaten on penalties, the women beaten away and now the u21s are vanquished at home. Possibly the worst week of the season thankfully concludes.

Villa fall 3-0 behind within 15 minutes, before scoring twice in the final five minutes of the first half to make it 2-3. Newcastle are awarded a penalty that allows them to make it 4-2 after 52 minutes, but Alfie Lynskey strikes to make it 3-4 just six minutes later with his first touch after coming on as a substitute. Bradley Burrowes hits the woodwork, but then a harsh sending off sees TJ Carroll dismissed after 81 minutes, and all hope of an epic comeback is extinguished as Villa, across the age-groups, finish their torrid week.
Sometimes these things happen. Full Match Report: https://www.avfchistory.co.uk/aston-villa/reserves-youth/game/20260206
