John Laidlaw
Player #247 for Aston Villa, John Wallace Laidlaw, played as a forward for the club.
John played for Villa in 1913-14 making 2 appearances.
John was born in Muirkirk, Scotland in December 1891 and he made his Villa debut in the Christmas Day fixture of 1913 aged 22.
Villa had signed John from South Shields earlier in December 1913 but he was only to make one further appearance for Villa.
That happened to be the following day, the Boxing Day fixture of 1913.
Villa won both games but John wouldn’t feature again before moving to Kilmarnock in June 1914.
John had played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
John passed away in Scotland in July 1954 aged 62.
