Jock Mulraney
Player #415 for Aston Villa, Ambrose Aloysius Mulraney known as Jock Mulraney and nicknamed Mull, played as a winger for the club.
Jock played for Villa between 1948-49 and 1948-49 making 12 appearances and scoring twice.
Jock was born in Wishaw, Lanarkshire on 18 May 1916 and made his debut appearance for Villa on Monday, 13 September 1948 at the age of 32.
Villa had signed Jock from Kidderminster Harriers earlier in September 1948 and for a short while he proved himself as an important member of the first team being a virtual ever-present in the side from September to December 1948
.
Jock however left the club at the end of his first season to take up the player manager position at Cradley Heath.
Jock had made his final appearance for the club on Saturday, 4 December 1948 under Alex Massie.
Jock passed away in Kinver, Staffordshire on 8 December 2001 aged 85.
