Player #470 for Aston Villa, James Adam, known as Jimmy Adam, played as a winger for the club in the outside left position.
Jimmy played for Villa in 1959-60 and 1960-61 making 24 appearances and scoring 3 goals.
Jimmy was born in Glasgow, Scotland on 13 May 1931 and made his debut appearance for Villa on Saturday, 22 August 1959 aged 28.
Villa had signed Jimmy from Luton Town earlier in August 1959 and he went on to make 21 appearances, scoring 3 times, as Villa took the Second Division Championship and won promotion back to Division One at the first attempt.
Jimmy played his final game for Villa on Saturday, 4 February 1961 aged 31 before moving on to Stoke City in July 1961.
Jimmy had played under manager Joe Mercer.
