Player #85 for Aston Villa, John Ramsey, known as Jack Ramsey played as a left back for the club.
Jack represented Villa in the 1892-93 season making 4 appearances for the club.
Jack was born in Bordesley Green, just 4 miles from Villaโs current home, on 11th September 1870 and made his debut as a 22 year old on 5th September 1892.
Villa had signed Jack from Aston Unity and he contributed 4 games to Villaโs 4th place league finish in 1892-93.
Billโs final game for Villa came on the 24th September 1892 just 3 weeks after his debut, Bill then moved on to Ward End FC.
Bill played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
