Herby Smart
Player #252 for Aston Villa, Herbert Horace Smart, known as Herby Smart, played as a forward for the club.
Herby played for Villa in 1913-14 making just a single appearance.
Herby was born in Smethwick, less than 5 miles from Villa Park, on 24th April 1892 and he made his sole appearance for Villa on the 4th April 1914 aged 21.
Villa had signed Herby from Bilston United and he subsequently moved on to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Herby had played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
Herby passed away in Birmingham in 1951 aged 59.
