George was born in Birmingham, just thee miles from Villa’s current ground, in 1868 and made his single appearance as a 21 year old on 5th October 1889.
Villa had signed George from St. Phillip’s FC and moved on to Witton White Star.
George was the tenth custodian of the Villa goal in League and Cup football and conceded 2 goals in his single appearance for the club in the 6-2 win over Burnley at Turf Moor.
George played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
George passed away in Birmingham in 1925 aged 57.
