George was born in Bolsover on 24 July 1900 and he made his single appearance for Villa on 28 February 1925 aged 24.
Villa had signed George from Mansfield Town for a fee of ยฃ500 in 1922 but he was to wait 3 years to make his sole appearance for the club.
George had played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
George passed away in London on 11th February 1977 aged 76.
