Player #145 for Aston Villa, Frank Lloyd played as a winger for the club in the outside right position.

Lloyd represented Villa in the 1900-01 and 1901-02 seasons making 6 appearances and scoring once. 5 of his appearances came in the League as Villa finished 15th and 8th and once in the FA Cup as Villa reached the Semi Final of the 1900-01 competition.

Frank was born in London on 18th September 1876 and made his debut appearance for the club as a 24 year old on 9th March 1901 in the 2-1 Division One win against Sheffield Wednesday aged 24.

Villa had signed Frank from Woolwich Arsenal but he featured only twice in the league during an unsuccessful Villa season which resulted in a 15th place finish, however he did score the opening goal in the 2-1 home victory over Sheffield Wednesday on debut.

This was the first of three consecutive games that Frank would start for Villa including the 3rd Round FA Cup tie away to Small Heath which ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Lloyd wouldn’t feature again for Villa in 1900-01 and featured just 3 times in 1901-02 making his final appearance for Villa, after a run of 3 consecutive games, in the 0-1 Division One loss against Sunderland on Saturday, 5 October 1901 aged 25

Lloyd played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.

Lloyd moved on to Dundee FC.

Frank passed away in 1945 aged 69.
