Charles Harley

Player #72 for Aston Villa, Charles Cedric Harley, played as a winger for the club in the outside right position.

Charles represented Villa on a single occasion during the 1890-91 season.

Charles was born in Wednesbury, just eight miles from the current Villa ground, on 7th March 1871 and made his sole appearance as a 19 year old on 11th October 1890.

Villa had signed Charles from Bloxwich Strollers and was subsequently transferred to Notts County.

Charles played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.

Charles passed away in Wolverhampton in 1940 aged 69.
