Villa had signed Bob from Heart of Midlothian however Bob wasn’t selected to feature in Villa’s victorious 1894-95 FA Cup run and made all his four appearances in Villa’s league campaign finishing 3rd after the previous season’s title win.

Bob moved on to Leicester Fosse after the 1894-95 season.

Bob had played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.

Bob passed away in Scotland in 1938 aged 68.
