Billy Podmore

Player #111 for Aston Villa, William Horace Podmore, known as Billy Podmore played as a forward for the club in the inside right position.

Billy represented Villa on only one occasion, in the 1894-95 season.

Billy was born in Nottingham on 22nd July 1872 and made his only appearance for the club as a 22 year old on 2nd February 1895 in the 1st Round 2-1 FA Cup victory over Derby County at Wellington Road. Villa had signed Billy from Burton United.

Billy moved on to Derby Midland without making another appearance for the club.

Billy had played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.

Billy passed away in Nottingham in August 1940 aged 68.
