Billy Dinsdale
Player #315 for Aston Villa, William Arthur Dinsdale, known as Billy Dinsdale, played as a centre forward for the club.
Billy played for Villa in 1924-25 and 1925-26 making 8 appearances.
Billy was born in Darlington on 12 July 1903 and he made his debut appearance for Villa on 1 April 1925 aged 21.
Villa had signed Billy from Crook Town just a month earlier in March 1925.
Billy was used as a back up to the first team squad and made all his 8 appearances in the league with the majority - 5 - coming in his first season.
Billy would play his final game for Villa on 13 March 1926 aged 22 before moving on to Lincoln City.
Billy had played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
Although Billyโs career didnโt hit heights in the top flight his move to the Third Division North side Lincoln City saw him hit 69 goals in 92 league games over 3 seasons.
Billy passed away in his home town of Darlington on 21st April 1984 aged 80.
