Alex McClure
Player #300 for Aston Villa, Alexander McClure, known as Alex McClure played as a centre back for the club.
Alex played for Villa in 1923-24 and 1924-25 making 7 appearances.
Alex was born in Workington, Cumbria on 3 April 1892 and he made his debut appearance for Villa on 13 February 1924 aged 31.
Villa had signed Alex from Birmingham in December 1923 as a backup squad player and he was quickly moved on to Stoke in October 1924.
Alex had played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
Alex passed away in Birmingham in August 1973 aged 81.
