Graham Taylor's Villa win successive games for the first time and make it three Division Two wins in nine as Neale Cooper makes his final appearance aged 23 before moving on to Rangers in the summer of 1988 for a fee of £250,000. Villa had bought Cooper 14 months earlier for £350,000 from Aberdeen. Cooper played for Villa in 1986-87 and 1987-88 making 15 appearances and scoring once.
