Match Report:
Villa suffered a 4-1 defeat to Norwich City at Bodymoor Heath in the Under-18 Premier League South on Saturday.
The Young Lions opened the scoring after just five minutes thanks to January arrival George Hemmings. However, the Canaries turned the game around to hold a 2-1 advantage at half-time, with goals from Errol Mundle-Smith and La'Sean Sealey.
In the second half, Norwich struck twice within four minutes- by Miles Bracking and Toby Chilvers- securing their fifth consecutive defeat of Villa across all competitions.
Villa took an early lead when Vinnie Hayward's deep corner found Hemmings at the far post, and he powered past Norwich goalkeeper Caleb Ansen.
Bradley Burrows was denied by an excellent save from Ansen and also hit the post, but Norwich responded with two goals before halftime:
Mundle-Smith scored from close range after Uriah Djedje found him, and Sealey converted a rebound after his first shot was saved by Alex Hammond.
Despite efforts to get back into the match, Villa was undone by two quick goals from Norwich-
Bracking capitalised on a defensive error to score in the 68th minute, and Chilvers finished well from Mundle-Smith's low cross shortly afterwards.
