โItโs going to be a good experience for a lot of the lads who havenโt really experienced cup football before. Obviously, I have before with the Next Gen.
Itโs something to look forward to, playing at their main stadium against a very good Leicester side.
โWe know what theyโre about. Itโs a massive game, weโve got our eyes on the prize, and hopefully we can go for the win and get into the final.
Itโs always good to test ourselves against the best. Weโre looking at getting promoted ourselves.โ
Jordan Cox, pre-match.
In the final stages of the regular 90 minutes, referee Joe Hull awarded a penalty to Leicester before reversing his decision and awarding a free-kick after Callum OโHare successfully argued the foul was outside the box.
Leicester donโt take kindly to the decision, and their first team players kick out at Villaโs youth, with the referee being extremely lenient on not sending off at least one of the opposition. Kieran Dewsbury-Hall is booked, whilst no punishment is given to Muskwe despite him punching the back of Jordan Lydenโs head.
1-1 at full time, Villa would score twice in the additional thirty minutes before Leicester got a late consolation.
Isaiah Bazeley-Graham repeats his first-half trick with an excellent ball to Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, which in the process humiliates Leicesterโs 31-year-old goalscorer Yohan Benalouane and enables RHM to put Villa ahead.
Hepburn-Murphy adds a solo goal for his second of the night, keeping Villa on course for a promotion and Cup-winning double as Leicester's late goal is rendered irrelevant.
