Villa clinch the Premier Reserve League title for the fourth time in the last five seasons with one game of the season to spare.
"To all the lads who have played, they have all been an absolute credit to the club.
"Some of the lads whoย are beingย released played at Sunderland and it is fantastic for them as well.
"Credit to all the players who have pulled on that jersey.
"We finished it off properly. It is nice to come away having not conceded and to win 2-0 and look like we could have won more.
"Playing out there was really tough and sometimes when you sit on the sidelines you don't appreciate the skills that are involved playing in a game like that.
"We played at the right times, we didn't overplay, we played to our strengths and the front two did a terrific job for us, as did the rest of the lads."
