Tom Perry

Player #158 for Aston Villa, Thomas Perry, known as Tom Perry played as a midfielder for the club in the wing half position.

Tom played for Villa in 1901-02 and 1902-03 making 29 appearances.

Tom was born in West Bromwich, less than 7 miles from Villa Park on 12th August 1871 and made his first appearance for Villa as a 30 year old on 19th October 1901 after a long stint with West Bromwich Albion.

Villa had signed Tom for £50 and over his two seasons he appeared twice in the FA cup with the remainder of his starts coming in the league campaigns in which Villa finished 8th and 2nd.

Tom retired from football due to injury after making his final appearance for Villa on 27th September 1902.

Tom had played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.

Tom passed away in West Bromwich on 18th July 1927 aged 55.
