Tom Gilson
Player #148 for Aston Villa, Thomas Aubrey Gilson, known as Tom Gilson and nicknamed Alf played as a full back for the club.
Tom played for Villa in the 1900-01 season making 2 appearances.
Tom was born in Lichfield in June 1879 and made his first appearance for the club as a 21 year old on 17th April 1901 with his final appearance just 5 days later.
Villa had signed Tom from Burton Swifts before he moved on to Brentford.
Tom had played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
Tom passed away in Lichfield in 1912 aged just 32.
