Richard Harvey

Player #25 for Aston Villa, Richard Arnold Harvey played as a full back for the club. Richard represented Villa four times during the 1882-83 FA Cup campaign.

Richard was born in Nottingham in 1860 and made his debut as a 22 year old on 21st October 1882.

Villa had signed Richard from Notts Rangers.

Richard scored in the 4-1 2nd Round win over Wednesbury Old Athletic but was to move on from Villa shortly thereafter with his final game for Villa coming on the 27th January 1883 before moving on to Normanton FC.

Richard played in the era when team selection was made by a Management Committee rather than the latter day more typical Manager role.

Richard passed away in Nottingham in December 1932 aged 72.
