Jack Whitley
Player #150 for Aston Villa, John Whitley, known as Jack Whitley played as a goalkeeper for the club.
Jack played for Villa in the 1900-01 and 1901-02 seasons making 11 appearances in total.
Jack was born in Seacombe, the Wirral on 20th April 1888 and made his first appearance for the club as a 21 year old on 20th April 1901.
Jack was the twentieth custodian of the Villa goal in League and Cup football and made 3 league appearances in 1900-01 as Villa finished 15th, results improved in 1901-02 as Jack made 9 starts and helped Villa to an 8th place finish.
In his 11 appearances, Jack conceded 22 goals at a ratio of 2 goals per game despite having kept clean sheets in 4 of his starts.

Jack had played his Villa career under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
