Harry was born in Liverpool on 4 March 1921 and made his debut appearance for Villa on Friday, 26 March 1948 at the age of 27.
Villa had signed Harry from Ellesmere Port in February 1947 on a recommendation by Pongo Waring.

Harry was an athletic and stylish wing half with an ability to also support the team in the inside forward position.

Within two weeks of his debut Harry had played for Villa six times including his final game for the club on Saturday, 10 April 1948.
Harry made his final appearance for the club on Saturday, 10 April 1948 at the age of 27 before moving on to Notts County in March 1949.

Harry passed away in Nottingham on 1 August 1990 aged 69.
