Player #470 for Aston Villa, William Beaton, known as Bill Beaton, played as a goalkeeper for the club.
Bill played for Villa in 1958-59 making a single appearance.
Bill was born in Kincardine-on-Forth, Fife, Scotland, on 30 September 1935 and made his sole appearance for Villa on Saturday, 15 November 1958 aged 23.
Villa had signed Bill from Dunfermline Athletic in October 1958 for the significant fee of £30,000 - then the highest fee Villa had paid for a player.
