Villa end the season unbeaten in six, with just two defeats in their last twenty six, fa cup winners and runners up in division one having recorded nineteen wins, twelve draws and seven defeats in thirty eight division one games.
Villa having last won the title in 1909-10 had now missed out on the double in 1912-13 with just two games to play and the title on the final day of 1910-11, nevertheless the exciting team that George Ramsay had once again built was in the ascendancy again.
