Villa again played John Cowan, but Liverpool were without Goldie and Beckton. Villa kicked off, and even and interesting play was witnessed, but the Villa attacks were the more dangerous, and Wheldon scored 25 minutes from the start.
Villa though had the better of the game, but Storer kept goal excellently. Athersmith scored a second before the interval.
Half time score : Villa, two ; Liverpool, nil.
Villa pressed on restating, and Storer saved cleverly several times. Then Liverpool attacked, and George was responsible for some effective work.

Devey scored a third for the Villa with a splendid shot.
