Barrie Hole repays Docherty’s faith with his latest goal to beat mid table Huddersfield but Villa end the game with ten men after Charlie Aitken is carried off with a damaged blood vessel in his chest.
Tommy Docherty makes it five wins in five since taking over as Villa boss who now have seven wins, eight draws and twelve defeats in twenty seven division two games so far this season. Villa win five consecutive games for the first time this season as they climb from from 22nd and bottom of the table under Tommy Cummings to 18th.
