After a strong run into 6th position Villa end the 1951-52 first division campaign with their biggest defeat of the season as they ship six at Newcastle.
Frustratingly, as had been seen so often in the Autumn, Villa had their fair share of the game but a failure to take chances and a smattering of ill-luck, whilst the opposition struck without mercy reared its ugly head once again.
Despite the setback, Villa end the season in sixth having recorded nineteen wins, nine draws and fourteen defeats in their forty two division one games.
