After their surprise win against then leaders Newcastle - inflicting their first defeat of the season - Villa revert to type and lose for the sixth time in eleven games under the ill-fated management committee structure.
Villa concede first for the eighth time in 11 games going three down inside 28 minutes at Leeds Road.
Villa slump further to their lowest position of the season - joint 18th.
Full back Stan Lynn makes his Villa debut after moving from Accrington Stanley in March 1950
Centre forward Trevor Ford makes his final appearance before moving on to Sunderland later this month. Ford played for Villa between 1946-47 and 1950-51 making 127 appearances and scoring 61 goals. However Ford had contributed just two goals in 1950-51 and was clearly surplus to requirements to even this struggling Villa side.
